A positive-creative attitude is a combination of positive thinking and creative thinking, which are two skills that can be learned and practiced. It’s not about disregarding the odds; it’s about confronting them with the right attitude. Positive thinking is the ability to focus on the bright side of things and to expect the best outcomes but be prepared for whatever is coming. Creative thinking is the ability to generate new and original ideas and to find novel solutions to challenges. A positive-creative attitude can help you cope with stress, improve your health, and enhance your happiness. It can also help you achieve your dreams, by enabling you to overcome obstacles, seize opportunities, and create your own reality. In one of my books, The Power to Change Your Story: Transformation from Inside Out, I describe how having a positive attitude is everything and else to succeed in life.
Do you have a dream that you want to achieve, but feel stuck, frustrated, or hopeless? Do you often doubt yourself, worry about the future, or dwell on the past? Do you struggle to come up with new and innovative ideas, or to find effective ways to solve your challenges? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may benefit from cultivating a positive-creative attitude.
A positive-creative attitude is a mental approach that empowers you to conquer challenges, welcome opportunities, and pursue your objectives with assurance and delight. It merges positive thinking and creative thinking, two skills that can be cultivated and honed. Positive thinking involves concentrating on the positive aspects of situations and anticipating favorable outcomes, but never give up if a negative outcome takes place. Meanwhile, creative thinking entails generating fresh, original ideas and discovering innovative solutions to challenges. [1]
A positive-creative attitude is an asset for managing stress, promoting well-being, and increasing happiness. Moreover, it catalyzes realizing your aspirations, empowering you to surmount challenges, embrace opportunities, and shape your own reality. This Collaborative Intelligence post will delve into the concept of a positive-creative attitude, underscore its significance, and provide insights on how to nurture and develop it.

How to Cultivate a Positive-Creative Attitude
A positive-creative attitude is a mindset that can be learned and practiced, by using various strategies and techniques, such as:
- Reframe your thoughts: Reframe your thoughts is a technique that involves changing the way you think about a situation, by replacing negative and limiting thoughts with positive and empowering thoughts. For example, instead of thinking “I can’t do this”, think “I can do this if I try hard and learn from my mistakes”. Instead of thinking “This is a problem”, think “This is a challenge that I can overcome”. Instead of thinking “This is boring”, think “This is an opportunity to learn something new”.
- Use affirmations: Use affirmations is a technique that involves repeating positive and encouraging statements to yourself, either aloud or in your mind, to boost your self-esteem, confidence, and motivation. For example, you can say to yourself “I am capable and creative”, “I can achieve anything I set my mind to”, or “I am worthy and deserving of happiness and success”.
- Practice gratitude to God: Practice gratitude, primarily to Jesus, is a technique that involves expressing appreciation for God to the things and people that you have in your life, either by writing them down, saying them aloud, or showing them through your actions. For example, you can reserve a daily moment to thank Jesus by writing a gratitude journal, where you list three things that you are grateful to God for every day. You can also say thank you to the people who help you or support you or do something nice for them. As we cultivate a mindset of gratitude, we always find ourselves discovering numerous reasons to thank God Almighty each day.
- Exercise the 478-Psalm 23 Meditative Breathing Technique: Are you feeling scared, stressed, depressed, worried or anxious? Do you find it difficult to relax and rest after a tiring day? Is your blood pressure high? Are you disappointed, disillusioned, angry, angry, hateful? Do you have insomnia, or difficulty sleeping? Are you giving a class, conference, or lecture? Are you experiencing turmoil on your journey? Are you having a panic attack? If so, the 478-Psalm 23 Meditative Breathing Technique may be just what you need to calm your mind and relax your body. - Seek inspiration: Seek inspiration is a technique that involves exposing yourself to new and diverse sources of information, ideas, and experiences, to stimulate your creativity and broaden your perspective. For example, you can attend church services, read books, watch movies, listen to music, or visit museums that are related or unrelated to your field of interest. You can also talk to people who have different backgrounds, opinions, and expertise or travel to places that are unfamiliar or exotic.
- Brainstorm ideas: Brainstorm ideas is a technique that involves generating as many ideas as possible, without judging or evaluating them, to explore different possibilities and solutions. For example, you can use a pen and paper, a whiteboard, or a computer to write down or draw your ideas or use a voice recorder or a video camera to speak or act out your ideas. You can also use tools, such as mind maps, lists, or diagrams, to organize and visualize your ideas.
- Experiment and prototype: Experiment and prototype is a technique that involves testing and refining your ideas, by creating and using models, samples, or simulations, to evaluate at a small scale their feasibility and effectiveness. For example, you can use materials, such as paper, cardboard, clay, or Lego, to build a physical prototype of your idea, or use software, such as PowerPoint, Photoshop, or SketchUp, to create a digital prototype of your idea. You can also use methods, such as Deming PDCA, surveys, interviews, or observations, to collect feedback and data on your idea.
Remember, a positive-creative attitude is a mindset that can be learned and practiced, by using various strategies and techniques, such as reframing your thoughts, using affirmations, practicing gratitude, exercising 478-psalm 23 meditative breathing technique, seeking inspiration, brainstorming ideas, and experimenting with and prototyping. These strategies and techniques can help you develop and improve your positive thinking and creative thinking skills and enhance your positive-creative attitude. [1. 2. 3]
